Ocean Entrances - Sediment Transfers

Ocean entrances often have sedimentation problems that are 'unprecedented' or unforeseen through modelling. However, retrospective evaluation of these cases indicates that the behaviour is comprehensible, even if is not easily forecast.

Maintaining navigable access through ocean entrances often requires sediment management through dredging and structures. This approach can require adaptation as the entrance evolves, modifying the mechanisms of sand transfer.
