Coastal Flooding Mitigation

For much of Western Australia, projected sea level rise challenges our common practices of building to a minimum level or building flood defences. Only a small amount of SLR may make the likelihood of flooding unacceptable, with strategic interventions often taking decades to implement. Consequently, we may need increasing use of finer-scale tools for flood mitigation, including property-level protection and non-structural measures.
